Using CosmoPBX Live CD is very easy. Follow these simple steps to start using CosmoPBX Live CD.
- Download the iso image
- Burn the image on CD
- Boot from CD(You may have to change BIOS settings to boot from CD.)
CosmoPBX Live CD boots in command line only. All GUI packages are removed to enhance performance. Therefore it does not suffer from performance degradation even if it is booted from live cd.
CosmoPBX Live CD is bundled with latest Asterisk 1.4 and Asterisk-GUI beta. Configuring and managing Asterisk using Asterisk-GUI is very simple. Once you boot from CosmoPBX Live CD and system is started, you can access Asterisk-GUI by opening following urls in browser from any machine in the same network.
http://[YOUR IP HERE]:8088/static/config/cfgbasic.html (For basic configuration)
http://[YOUR IP HERE]:8088/static/config/cfgadvanced.html (For advanced configuration)

When you open basic configuration for the first time, it starts a configuration wizard which allows you to do basic configuration of Asterisk PBX. Once you finish the wizard, you can configure Asterisk according to your requirement from basic or advanced configuration web gui.
